01Challenge
The original GoGo Rooter website was built in Elementor, and the challenge was to recreate the same overall look and visual experience using Gutenberg instead.
This required rebuilding the layouts, spacing, sections, responsive behavior, and design details within Gutenberg while keeping the frontend appearance as close as possible to the original site.
Because Gutenberg works very differently from Elementor, achieving the same visual result took significant custom styling, testing, and refinement before the final version matched the required look and remained manageable inside WordPress.
02Objective
Rebuild the existing Elementor website in Gutenberg while preserving the same overall visual style, layout structure, and user experience.
The goal was to move the site to a more flexible Gutenberg-based setup without making the frontend feel like a completely different website, while also improving maintainability, responsiveness, and SEO readiness.
03Approach
We first reviewed the existing Elementor site section by section to understand its layout, spacing, typography, visual hierarchy, and responsive behavior.
The website was then rebuilt in Gutenberg using a combination of native blocks, reusable patterns, and custom styling to reproduce the original design as closely as possible.
Because Gutenberg handles layouts differently from Elementor, many sections required careful CSS refinement, responsive testing, and repeated adjustments across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Once the visual rebuild was stable, we improved the page structure for SEO, refined the content hierarchy, and introduced an AI-powered MCP workflow to support faster content updates and ongoing optimization.
04Direction
The design direction was not to reinvent the GoGo Rooter brand, but to preserve the familiar look of the existing website while rebuilding it on a cleaner Gutenberg foundation.
We focused on maintaining the original visual identity, making the layouts feel consistent across devices, and ensuring important plumbing services and calls to action remained easy to find.
The Gutenberg structure was also planned with future scalability in mind so new service pages, location pages, and SEO content could be added more efficiently.
